Our Garden in Early Summer
I've always wanted to take pictures of our garden.... befores durings and afters.... But every year I forget! I hope we will have a nice garden this year. Most things are popping up and starting to get established. I don't think we will be having anymore frosts so that's a good thing! We expect to have some corn and beans, peas, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, beats, garlic, lettuce, parsley, cilantro, peppers, cucumbers, cantaloupe, pumpkins, watermelon, spinach, lettuce, carrots, and onions. Now if I can just keep the robins out of our strawberry patch! :)

Summerfest Days 2013
We had a great Summerfest this year! It was one of our best for sure! Jeff went to a lot of work to make his booth extra nice and updated. He built new walls and covered them in black carpet, he bought another tent so his display was twice as big as before, and he had a nice shady location. He won an honorable mention for his plein air entry and he sold a total of 16 out of 20 pieces! At that he had people coming back for more and lined up a few commissions! What a wonderful blessing! It was great to see him so happy and what a compliment to his art! Every evening the boys and I came down to join him for dinner and to walk around the tabernacle grounds. We tried out some homemade facepaint to make it fun. Ben loved getting some cinnamon almonds and and Calvin and Tommy thought they hit the jackpot with snowcones. It doesn't feel like summer until we've had summerfest to start things off! Happy Summer! :)

Baseball Season Begins!
Take me out to the ball game...
I love being a "baseball mom"! The boys Calvin and Ben looked so cute out there in their royal blue and white uniforms, their baseball caps and determination on their faces. They had so much fun, each got a hit or two or three, and each scored a run or two! The Rookie league is where it's at! Great job boys and Jeff for being such an excited coach! :)

Happy 9th Anniversary!
Gotta gush over my man a little, he is so fantastic! It has been a blissful 9 years. We have had our share of obstacles, but through all our ups and downs we have managed to love each other more and grow closer together. We have been very blessed, and we hope the next nine years-plus will be just as special! I know it will! I'm so glad I said yes when you asked me to marry you in the hot air balloon! Thanks for making me smile, laugh, and enjoy life Jeff! May 29th will always be a most special day! I love you more!
Out of school Adventures!
It's the best having kids home from school all summer! I just feel like the days are longer and carefree and ripe for adventure! We have already been out on some...a pool day in Brigham City (my kids love the little and big slides)
A day at the Aquatic Center too! It's always more fun when cousins can come! :)
Spring Soccer
Spring Soccer comes to an end. The boys had a great time. This is Tommy hiding behind the umbrella, some days were cold and blustery, others were hot and sunny. Jeff coached Ben's team and I think they went undefeated! Calvin's didn't do as well, but still win a couple and tied a couple and lost a few. Calvin has a lot of talent and speed and thankfully isn't a lazy player. Ben is very determined and quite skilled for his age. He scored at least one goal, sometimes 6 or 7 a game!
Wildcat Run Winners!
I am so proud of my fast running boys! They each earned a 3rd place medal overall in their grade! Ben won third place in the kindergarten dash, and Calvin did a full mile earning 3rd place! It wasn't easy, but I'd say they felt it was worth the effort! They both wore their medals all day long and were so excited for one another! Good job guys! :)
Calvin's 1st Grade Graduation
Before the last day of school, Calvin was one busy kid! He was celebrated for his unbirthday, where I got to bring pictures and favorite things and tell funny stories about him and share neat stories about him with his class. He is a pretty neat kid I have to say! One thing they couldn't believe is how all year long he set his alarm and would wake up and get dressed and ready on his own before anyone else was awake! He was so reliable he would often set his alarm in the weekends! Pretty responsible for a 7 yr old! I also shared how he has always loved to paint like his daddy and when he was about 8 months old he spilled a whole can of paintball over our carpet and himself! They all laughed and couldn't believe it! Calvin got the giggles and soaked up all the attention! Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of this, probably because I was the one talking, but it was so much fun! Happy Unbirthday Cal!
The first grade graduation program was cute too! They sang songs and said their parts. Calvin had lots of fun!
Calvin also had the opportunity to do one last book report. He read a cute story about a brave little goldfish and had a great idea of bringing in a live goldfish, except we didn't have one. Easily remedied, we ended up getting 3 goldfish (one for each boy of course) and some food and water treatment and abet etc. kinda fun and fascinating for the kids. Calvin brought his fish "Nemo" and some goldfish crackers to share after reporting on his book. He did a great job!I love his teacher Mrs. Galloway! It's pretty unique that she happens to be my first grade teacher too! :)
Kindergarten Graduation
Congratulations Ben!
He is a kindergarten grad! The kids did a Great performance and sang some tear jerking songs! I hate to see my kids growing up! Especially when the words to the songs reiterate how quickly childhood is gone! Ben did a good job on his speaking part and smiled and made us feel so proud! What a cute boy! I'm so glad we started you in kindergarten when we did and that you were able to do so well! Love you Benny boy!
