32+weeks

Another weeks has gone by, I can't believe it! 32 weeks and 2 days now! One more month to go! I am getting a bit uncomfortable lately, a little bit of contractions, less "good" sleep at night, which makes me tired, but I think it's all part of the process and I am not suffering by any means.
My sweet neighbor Julee has been over to help me with house cleaning twice this week-bless her heart! I'm so thankful for her, it's not easy for me to sit and watch her work, and I feel embarrassed about things being a mess in the first place, but I'm deeply grateful for her! What a friend to be willing to do that for me! Thank you Julee!
I visit the doctor in 4 days....
I'll post again then! :)

Besties

These two just crack me up! They are so cute together and have so much fun playing! I love the stories they tell and how Boston talks my ear off! :)
Boston and Tommy....

Summer memories

Our sweet neighbor Stacey took a whole bunch of us to the Fair and Rodeo this summer! The kids got corn dogs and cotton candy and Calvin and Ben even went for a rodeo burger later in the evening! (I tell ya my boys can eat!)
They all had a great time and I'm so glad we got to go! Thanks Stacey!

The following day my mom and I took the kids down to the fair to ride rides ALL Day! We bought all day passes for each kid for $18 and away they went! It was hot but we kept cool enough by sitting in lawn chairs in the shade while watching the kiddos run from one ride to the next. We didn't leave that night until after 10:00 pm and even then they were begging for 1 more turn! :)

I have so many cute pictures on my big girl camera, these were the only ones I snapped with my phone.

We also got to harbor a little hamster for several days. The kids named him bitey because he bites, but with their gloves on he was fine. Unfortunately, he died. :( I think he might have been dropped too many times or something. Poor little thing. Tommy was the most upset. I guess we are just not a hamster family. Rest in peace little fella.

Back to school boys!

Where has the time gone? It's back to school for these cute boys and they are sooo excited! I miss them a lot while they're away and so does Tommy. At least I have one little buddy home with me!
We went to back to school night and met  Calvin's second grade teacher Mrs. Schaffer, and Ben's first grade teacher Mrs. Keepers. I think it's going to be a great year! Ben's teacher has a picture of a kid picking his nose right across from Ben's seat in the front of the classroom that says, "No Picking!" When Jeff pointed it out to Ben he paused to read it for a second, then his eyes lit up and his mouth dropped open in the biggest gaping toothless smile. I thought immediately that this boy is going to LOVE his teacher! When Ben (and by the way he wants his teacher to call him Benjamin, funny kid) came home his first day he couldn't wait to tell me all out of breath that his teacher, "has a girl dog"...breathe "and a boy dog"...breathe "and the boy dog's name...is Booger!" haha! To him it was just unbelievable!
Calvin had a great day too, his teacher told him she really LOVES his name and almost because of that she seems extra nice to him. He won prizes in two different drawings, lucky guy- a book and a treat, and was so excited to see Benny and other friends on the playground during recess.
I'd say they seem to be off on a good start!  It makes my heart happy to see them in such high spirits and ready to conquer the world! :)

31 weeks!

I'm hanging in there! It sure has been nice to have my boys helping around the house, and Jeff is so great at cleaning and doing dishes and making me keep my feet up! I feel so blessed! I have some raging heartburn sometimes, but there's medicine for that, and I was very anemic last time I went in, but there's pills for that too, so no complaints from me! Just getting more and more excited to meet these two babies!
My friends and neighbors and ward members threw me a diaper shower last week and it was so nice! I felt spoiled! What a relief to have boxes of diapers and wipes on hand for when the babies come! Thank you so much Julee and Ann and all who came! And thank you for the gifts! :)

Football Season Begins!

It feels like a goodbye to summer with football starting up!  My boys have a new obsession too! I hope we're not the only family that turns on and off like a switch when a new sports season comes around. I don't know how many times they've watched "Remember the Titans" and "the Express" and "Invincible" these past couple weeks, but let's just say they have the theme songs memorized!
Calvin is on the Jr. Tackle Grizz 7-8 year olds team, and Ben is on a flag football team. Since Ben's team hasn't starter yet, he has been "borrowing" Calvin's stuff. :)

Calvin had his first game yesterday and LOVED it! In spite of losing their first game, his team scored 2 touchdowns and Calvin recovered a fumble! He was so proud!

Great job Cal! And I can't wait to see Benny play! :)

30 weeks

Today's appointment was so reassuring. After 5 weeks I was getting anxious to see the babies and check how they're growing. And boy are they growing! My big baby A is measuring in the 70th percentile and approx. 3lbs 14 oz. My little baby B is in the 45th percentile and measuring approx. 3 lbs 4 oz.  They were both still laying across my belly (transverse) but now baby A has his head at baby B's feet. I still haven't had any contractions and don't have to be checked or seen again for 3 more weeks!  I was excited about that because when I go in next (sept 4th) I will only be about a month away from when I hope to deliver! (37+weeks). My doc says the average twins are born at 34-35 weeks and weigh 5.5 lbs. I'm hoping to go full term and have some strong healthy boys! One can only hope!
These two have had lots of hiccups lately and are literally kicking me on all sides! I'm loving it! I feel so blessed and thankful for this pregnancy that I really can't complain about the usual pregnancy things. And I'm getting really excited!! :)
