36 weeks!

Another appointment today, and things went so well that Dr. says the new goal is to deliver at 38 weeks! I have to say I was a little bit bummed. I was counting down the days almost on one hand to delivery! But how can I complain about healthy babies growing big and strong and making it even closer to my due date? I am just so grateful! My twin stretch marks are not so grateful, and my belly feels like I have a sunburn, but my body just won't let these babies go until they're  "fully cooked"! I hope they will be cute and chubby, I've been eating like crazy, and still lost 4-5 pounds this week! Maybe they're having a growth spurt!  I am only dilated  to a 2 1/2 and about 70% effaced, so no real threat of an earlier delivery at this point.  We listened to their heart beats for the non stress test today and baby A had some major hiccups, it was kinda funny...and loud! Baby B was moving a lot too and the heart monitor was just buzzing with sounds!
Dr. M. asked Tommy what the babies' names will be and when he told her Charlie and Henry it sounded soooo cute! I still love the name Leo, but that may have to be a middle name or something, Jeff is not a fan. :/
Jeff took me to Kneaders for lunch and we talked about how much fun we're going to have with our family of 5 boys! I'm so happy!!!! :)

My littlest school boy

Tommy started Joy School! He is so happy and feels like such a big boy! He gets to go to a neighbors house on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30-12:00 for a fun learning experience! It makes me a little sad to see him growing up and wanting to be so big! :/  When he left his first day he said, "it's different getting up so early, huh mom." and when he came home he said, "I can't believe I was gone all day!" :) He's so funny! I find myself giggling about the darndest things he says all the time. :) He does this wrinkled up little nose thing when he talks and gets so serious it just melts my heart!
One Dr. Appointment he came along and said as we were walking in, "I can't believe we get to see mommy's babies on the puter!" He also likes to hold my hand to comfort me and always helps me when I get up. He and and his big brothers have been so excited for the twins and extra sweet to me. I feel like one lucky girl that's for sure!

35 weeks + 2 days!!

Whoa! That belly is getting big! I have a lot of baby growing right now! My recent appointment was great. We learned that baby A is growing like crazy and is estimated at 7lbs 9 oz. a whopping 2 weeks ahead of his due date, and baby B is perfectly on track at 5 lbs. 4 oz. I'm so relieved and thankful they are both getting bigger and healthy and strong. But I worry a little that I'll have some really big twiners! It's crazy to think that I have less than 2 weeks now! Getting anxious! :)

33 weeks!

My babies are growing!!! Today's appointment went very well. Baby A is measuring at approx 5.1 lbs 33 weeks and 3 days and Baby B is approx 4.8 lbs. 33 weeks. That's 9.9 lbs of baby going on right now and I'm feeling it! I'm dilated to a 1 already and have been having Braxton hicks contractions daily. I know I'm not going into labor yet, and it's just my body's way of preparing, but the feeling takes me right back to the delivery room when I had Tommy and is sometimes painful!
Good news is, both babies are head down now and  in proper position meaning no c-section! I'm so relieved about that!
I start now with weekly visits to the Dr. and the non-stress tests. That will be a new experience for me and I hope the babes cooperate so I don't have to stay there for hours. :)
On Saturday Calvin had a football game against Sky View and while I was sitting in my camp chair in the shade a couple came up to me. The man said, "I can't help it, I have to ask....are you having twins or triplets?"
Whoa.....triplets? What? Really?
"No," I said, "I'm just having one."
To that his wife slapped him across his shoulders and said something like, "I told you not to ask!"
Then I said I was kidding and I was really having twins. But seriously, I don't think I'd dare ask someone that! I had to give him a little bit of a hard time over it.
"You just made my day" I thought to myself. :)
My big boys were so funny on Sunday. Jeff was at work and I was on my own the whole day with the 3 and as we climbed into the car to go to church I asked them all to be on their best behavior and to help mommy out. They all agreed and Tommy sincerely offered to help me get up when I needed to. Then I overheard Calvin and Ben talking in the back seat about how it would be pretty tough to lift mom right now, but Hulk could probably do it. "Yeah, Hulk could probably lift mom with one finger!" they said. They were also being sincere. :) I had to laugh, but I also thought my goodness is this what we've come to......we need the HULK to lift me up?!!!!  I suppose you know it's going to be a good day when it starts out like that!  Right? :) Turns out it was a good day, but a really long one! I attended 6 hours of church! A two hour mtg before church and a 1 hour mtg after! I guess I'm making up for all the Sunday's I'll miss during recovery and new babies and stuff. Thank goodness the boys were so good to tend themselves and get along so well, what a blessing!

32+weeks

Another weeks has gone by, I can't believe it! 32 weeks and 2 days now! One more month to go! I am getting a bit uncomfortable lately, a little bit of contractions, less "good" sleep at night, which makes me tired, but I think it's all part of the process and I am not suffering by any means.
My sweet neighbor Julee has been over to help me with house cleaning twice this week-bless her heart! I'm so thankful for her, it's not easy for me to sit and watch her work, and I feel embarrassed about things being a mess in the first place, but I'm deeply grateful for her! What a friend to be willing to do that for me! Thank you Julee!
I visit the doctor in 4 days....
I'll post again then! :)

Besties

These two just crack me up! They are so cute together and have so much fun playing! I love the stories they tell and how Boston talks my ear off! :)
Boston and Tommy....

Summer memories

Our sweet neighbor Stacey took a whole bunch of us to the Fair and Rodeo this summer! The kids got corn dogs and cotton candy and Calvin and Ben even went for a rodeo burger later in the evening! (I tell ya my boys can eat!)
They all had a great time and I'm so glad we got to go! Thanks Stacey!

The following day my mom and I took the kids down to the fair to ride rides ALL Day! We bought all day passes for each kid for $18 and away they went! It was hot but we kept cool enough by sitting in lawn chairs in the shade while watching the kiddos run from one ride to the next. We didn't leave that night until after 10:00 pm and even then they were begging for 1 more turn! :)

I have so many cute pictures on my big girl camera, these were the only ones I snapped with my phone.

We also got to harbor a little hamster for several days. The kids named him bitey because he bites, but with their gloves on he was fine. Unfortunately, he died. :( I think he might have been dropped too many times or something. Poor little thing. Tommy was the most upset. I guess we are just not a hamster family. Rest in peace little fella.
